Deep in the giant forest, there lives a tree so big, it's not just a tree. It's a wooden mountain. His name is Sherman.
Meet Sherman, the largest tree in the world—a giant sequoia so massive he's like a wooden mountain. Join Milo the chipmunk, Fiona the owl, and Benson the bear as they discover that the greatest trees don't just stand tall, but become a home, a shelter, and a steady friend to every creature in the forest, from the tiniest nap-seeker to the biggest back-scratcher.
Deep in the giant forest, there lives a tree so big, it's not just a tree. It's a wooden mountain. His name is Sherman.
Sherman has been standing tall for thousands of years. He has seen the seasons change more times than all the leaves put together.
Up and up he grows! His trunk is wider than three cars parked side-by-side. You could walk around Sherman's mighty base and never feel tired of looking up.
Milo the chipmunk thought Sherman was the best place for a nap. "It feels like hugging a warm, ancient boulder," he squeaked.
But Sherman doesn't just shelter tiny chipmunks. Way, way up, where the air is thin and the stars shine first, lives Fiona the young owl.
Fiona loves living high. Her home is safe inside a thick, strong hollow carved out long, long ago. From there, she can see the whole forest world waking up.
Even big animals depend on Sherman. Benson the bear loves Sherman too. He doesn't need a tiny sleeping spot—he needs a back scratch!
Benson has been coming to this spot since he was a cub. He knew that Sherman's bark was strong enough to hold up the whole mountain range! (Well, almost.)
Sherman keeps the forest safe, tall and steady through storms and sunshine. His roots reach deep into the earth, holding everything together.
The wooden mountain stands firm. Sherman is home, Sherman is history, and Sherman stands tall for everyone.
